PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for providing specialized skills to solve advance issues for the onsite maintenance of all heavy equipment and general equipment. Responsible for providing onsite leadership and makes decisions regarding day to day operations to ensure safety, first time quality, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Acts as a lead during advance repairs and maintenance.
Train Mechanics in completing repairs.
Participate on planning future work, tooling need and special training.
Mentor Mechanics and confirm on the job training for all the Mechanics onsite.
Maintain the upkeep of Mortenson owned assets.
Ensure supplies, equipment and day to day needs of crew are met.
Report all deficiencies to supervisor
Perform inspections to ensure tested and repaired equipment meet performance specifications
Troubleshoot breakdowns of equipment to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
Perform regular preventive maintenance
Complete and file all appropriate reports and paperwork
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback and effectively manage performance.
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED (preferred)
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Mechanic (required)
Proficient computer skills
Current driver's license
ASE Certified (preferred)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions
B. Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb
C. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
D. Frequently reach high and low places
E. Ability to see, hear, balance, and review job sites
F. Ability to stand and walk throughout work day
G. Ability to use repetitive hand/arm/leg movements
