This position is full - time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time). Our offices are located at One Penn Plaza, 8th Floor, New York, NY, 10119 and Store Front location: 161 Canal St, NY, NY.

We offer 4 weeks of paid on-the job training, job shadowing, processes, and expectations. The hours during training will be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted on - site and in - person.

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As an Enrollment Eligibility Representative your daily responsibilities would be researching errors by comparing enrollment error reports against system information along with CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) records
  • Sending correspondence to members or CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to gather information or provide updates for corrections.
  • Reconciling reports, initiate and assist with developments / changes to increase or change quality and productivity.
  • Preparing, processing, and maintaining new member or group enrollments.
  • Respond to member eligibility or group questions & verify enrollment status.
  • Inventory control of member and group transactions; The role will use: ICUE, Mastero, GPS and CSP Facets (Customer Service system), Solutran OTC System.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment, using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • 1+ years of working experience with Microsoft Office: Microsoft Word (creating, editing, and saving documents), Microsoft Excel (filtering, sorting, and editing data in spreadsheets, formulas, and creating pivot tables), Microsoft PowerPoint (creating, editing, and presenting slide decks), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Multilingual fluency in English and Chinese / Cantonese / Mandarin dialects
  • Ability to perform in - person activities as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (Domestic)
  • Ability to work any full-time (40 hours / week) shift between our normal business hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) from Monday - Friday
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Call Center Customer Service experience
  • 1+ years of work experience with Health insurance
  • 1+ years of experience in working with the chronically ill, elderly, disabled, and / OR frail population
  • Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare regulations

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within New York City, NY (Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn)
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited tolocal labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
