We're actively seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst II to join our Sales Intelligence team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid requiring 2-3 days/week in office and the rest able to be remote. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Senior Data Analyst II you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by optimizing our sales teams' effectiveness thru data mining, visualization, & activation. You'll drive efforts to adopt new technologies as well as evolve existing tools and dashboards aligned to sales goals & desired outcomes. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 3 people in the Consumer Markets division. Your colleagues will include other analysts & developers within a larger Sales Enablement organization supporting both the Annuities and Life Insurance product lines.

How you will make an impact:

  • Ability to manage & distill large datasets to drive insights related to desired business outcomes and KPIs (e.g. market analysis to prioritize prospecting outreach)
  • Best practice experience building sophisticated data visualizations to influence senior sales leaders (e.g. territory coverage & optimization)
  • Strong communication skills enabling collaborative solutioning with business and technical roles to ensure adoption & value realization
  • Experience leading small to medium efforts with minimal guidance from initial requirements gathering, through development, validation, and finally to delivery / implementation
  • Significant experience with mapping tools to drive optimization of sales territory assignments and sales effort prioritization


The experience you bring:

  • 8+ years of experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Tableau CRM or Power BI), preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • Significant experience with mapping tools (e.g. Maptitude, Xactly, Anaplan, Badger Maps, etc.)
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong ability to tell actionable stories to a diverse audience based on complex, metrics-driven insights


What makes you stand out:

  • Experience with Alteryx or Snowflake
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce CRM tool, particularly Financial Services
  • Distribution strategy experience
  • Experience presenting to Sales and Executive Management
  • Experience with mapping tools

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$131,040.00 - $160,160.00
