We have an opportunity for an operations Director to join our McAllen, TX team. You will build talent, address key operational performance challenges, and implement sustainable standard practices through Lean Management Systems. The expected results will be sustainable improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash for the location. This is an operational leadership role reporting into the Integrated Supply Chain Leader.

You will:

  • Build a lasting culture of continuous improvement and achieve Operational Excellence to enhance the competitive edge and best in-class service to the customer.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement of KPI's around Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash Metrics.
  • Coach and develop your team following the principles "Lead with Humility" and "Respect for Every Individual."
  • Develop and improve the skills, knowledge, and abilities of the site's talent, ensuring strong succession planning.
  • Develop short and long-term goals and objectives for the site aligned with Strategy Deployment Objectives.
  • Meet and exceed year-over-year financial targets through active continuous improvement projects and driving material and non-material productivity of the business while driving accountability for the overall P&L.
  • Promote hands-on, high involvement approach to problem solving.
  • Ensure the inventory cycle count program is driving improvements in accuracy and inventory turns.
  • Support the SIOP process interfacing with a cross-functional team.
  • Direct and manage the establishment of a production plan and operation of material replenishment to support demand and on-time delivery while reaching the targeted inventory level.
  • Support Supply Chain performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives via Value Add/Value Engineering.
  • Support the development of a range of products that will increase our market share or expand our market potential (NPI).

Key Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of functional experience.
  • 6+ years of proven experience as a site manager.
  • Bilingual must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish languages.
  • Proficient in analytical problem solving, customer/partner relationships, product & technology expertise, and strategic insight.
  • Understanding of program/project management fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts following Toyota Production System (TPS) / Shingo Model desired.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in working inside a matrix organization.
