Exciting position is available for a 40-hour Clinical Nutrition Specialist II in The Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center (EAT) at Boston Children's Hospital is dedicated to the care of infants, children and young adults with complex esophageal and airway problems. For our team, these very rare esophageal conditions are not rare at all. Since 2010, our clinicians have cared for more than 600 patients, making us the most experienced institution in the world when it comes to treating these complex conditions.

This Pediatric Registered Dietitian II will be responsible for:

* Providing comprehensive inpatient nutritional care to patients in the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center (EAT) and other general medical and surgical services.
* Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
* Assisting in the supervision of the daily work of the dietetic technician.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nutrition.
  • Three plus years of progressive experience in Dietetics with at least 2 years in pediatric nutrition, preferred.
  • Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian
  • Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and indepth, experiencedbased knowledge.
  • Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and welldeveloped writing skills
  • Spanish language skills a plus
