What are the essential duties of a Summer Camp Cook?

  • Prepare food for guest
  • Supervises food service employees
  • Performs food service and kitchen custodial duties
  • Clean and care for the facility and all foodservice spaces/areas to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
  • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
  • Restock both foodservice materials and supplies
  • Perform other kitchen and dining hall related duties as required
  • Supervise Kitchen assistants / Waitstaff

What are the physical demands of this position?

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the incumbent will have to sit, stand and or walk for the majority of the shift. The incumbent is required to regularly talk or hear while fulfilling the duties of the job. The incumbent may have to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move more than 75 pounds. The incumbent must have a clean driving record as they may have to act as a backup driver.

What are the environmental demands of this position?

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations will be made. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud depending on what kitchen machinery is in use.

Experience
Supervisory experience in a food service or related field (required)
Experience in the food industry (required)
