Overview

M & H Valve Company is seeking a Inside Sales Representative for its Anniston, AL manufacturing facility reporting to the Inside Sales Manager.

Summary

This position performs sales and support for distributors, direct accounts, and industrial establishments via computer, phone, and fax by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Works closely with customers to provide quotations.
  • Enters purchase orders sent in by customers.
  • Provides product literature and information to customers.
  • Works closely with production to fulfill the customers' needs.
  • Completes intercompany sales duties when necessary.
  • Tracks stocking levels based on customer demands.
  • Participates in training events and is able to provide product troubleshooting via email and phone.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Assists in creating and editing customer accounts.
  • Works closely with outside sales to provide assistance.
  • Investigates issues that may arise and provides solutions.

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience and/or training in sales and customer service.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Language Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and clearly convey information via person-to-person, phone, and email communications. Must be able to carry on professional conversations with coworkers and customers. Clear and efficient communication skills must be practiced.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and other basic mathematical functions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to reason with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Excel at time management and efficiency.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. The ideal candidate should also possess a basic knowledge of Adobe and be able to perform basic internet functions. On job training will take place to learn the company's ERP software that will be utilized daily.
