Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in growing and expanding our business within the Unites States Air Force (USAF) sector. In this role, you will be responsible for recommending and implementing new initiatives and business opportunities, providing strategic and tactical input, conducting market analysis, and identifying customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in growing USAF business. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as you will be working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive new growth and maintain customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing USAF customers.
  • Expand and grow the business base by developing new USAF customer relationships.
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy and achievement of their Bookings Forecast and Plan.
  • Visit prospective, new, and existing customers on a regular basis.
  • Formulate and exercise marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure achievement of financial objectives, and products and services innovation.
  • Assist in the development of the planning, designing and implementing of business plans, such as, capture plans, proposal activities.
  • Work closely with other departments and/or functions (e.g., Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) to coordinate customer activities, and market strategies.
  • Provide compelling presentations on Company portfolio of products and services.
  • Travel to include customer sites, trade shows, demonstrations.
  • Obtain market intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies that maximize the value of that intelligence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Prior USAF air defense experience, (active duty or civilian) preferred
  • Work within the C-UAS & ATC (Air Traffic Control) sector(s) preferred
  • Understanding of US Contracting and budgeting processes
  • Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to work on extremely complex problems
  • Advanced knowledge of Company products, markets and technology

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
