Position Title: Customer Service/ VMI (Vendor Management)

Casper, WY
Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Drive a company vehicle, Van or pickup truck


Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The VMI Technician will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the client's supply inventory to include deliveries and management programs, establishing safe handling practices, manage, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executing cost reduction programs, reporting and day-to-day customer interface at the client location. The VMI Technician will be the first line Airgas representative with the customer for all consumables and safety supplies related issues.In particular, you will:

  • Order products and related supplies & services from Airgas and other vendors to maintain customer stocking levels.

  • Support customer projects and develop and maintain site specific operating procedures

  • Control and manage customer maintenance and repair programs

  • Develop excellent relationships with customers as well as Airgas branch and operations personnel in order to provide the best possible service to our customers.

  • Receive inventory and warehouse incoming material on a daily basis.

  • Pull orders from inventory for delivery to distribution centers, serve as a Delivery Driver when primary driverIs unavailable.

  • Commitment to Safety

  • Regular license (Class C) in good standing, will need to obtain hazmat endorsement

  • Ability to prioritize workload

  • Ability to be self-managed

  • Moderate computer skills, to include MS outlook email, Word and Excel, with ability to learn site specific computer applications such as calibration and maintenance programs.

  • Inventory Control experience including ordering, stocking and maintaining cost effective inventory levels

  • Customer service or sales experience, particularly in acting as a central liaison and single point of contact.
