Your role and responsibilities

Leads the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work (SoW) growth actions for the national water segment
Understands the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (example: sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer's business and business environment and interprets the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB
Participates in the development of sales strategies for the water segment through providing current business and longterm plans of the customer
Defines and proposes sales targets for the water segment and ensures their achievement through a structured followup process across divisions and countries
Promotes and sells products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, representing ABB, overall
Creates added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach with all internal and external players (example: frame agreements, sales planning, and issue resolution)
Monitors competitors' activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented
Gives input on market price developments
Drives application of standardized marketing & sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, etc) for the account

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 12 years of work experience in Corporate Accounts sales or selling to senior, Clevel customers minimum
  • Demonstrated leadership, relationship building skills, strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully negotiate large contracts, and effective in negotiation and problem resolution
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work in a dynamic environment
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Experience with CRM applications, preferably Salesforce
  • Highly motivated and able to work under own initiative; selfstarter and collaborate within multiple teams and has a strong attention to detail
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
