Responsibilities

  • The Manager of Medical Staff Services and is accountable for the areas of credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for physicians and allied health professionals.
  • Serves as liaison to assure the enhancement of effective relationship between medical staff, administration, ancillary departments, and patients in matters pertaining to medical staff.
  • The manager ensures that the medical staff has the proper credentials to work in a medical position.
  • The manager must be knowledgeable about state and federal laws regarding accreditation standards.
  • This position regularly reviews the credentials and licenses of staff as well as continuing education information to ensure the staff remains qualified.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare credentialing
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (e.g. TJC)

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • CPCS-Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist
  • Management experience
