Atlas Tech is seeking an Information Assurance Analyst to join the Information Systems Security Engineering team for an effort to perform analysis and evaluation of the Information Security of Naval software systems. The analyst will be responsible for assisting in the technical implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) services by conducting cybersecurity and risk assessments on systems to identify and mitigate technical and non-technical vulnerabilities.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $100,000 varies with experience

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will:

  • Perform analysis and evaluation to design, implement, test and field secure systems, networks, and architectures
  • Evaluate information systems security policies ensuring system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the acquisition and Information System (IS) lifecycle
  • Conduct vulnerability scans, reports, asset creation/modification, and policy creation/modification using ACAS Security Center
  • Collaborate with engineers to remediate identified vulnerabilities or develop mitigations
  • Conduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) policy
  • Notify PORs, developers and Subject Matter Experts of CYBERCOM IAV announcements
  • Implement and apply DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST policy, instruction, and requirements
  • Update technical publications such as Technical Plans, Analyses and Reports, Risk Assessments, Cybersecurity Strategy, Test Plans, procedures and reports, System Security Plans, checklist, Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and related documentation

You Have:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date
  • DoD 8140\8570 Certifications as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) test plans
  • Experience with ACAS, Evaluate STIG, PowerShell scripts, DISA's STIG Viewer
  • Experience analyzing, testing, and evaluating moderately complex software and systems
  • Experience with testing methods, automated tools, plans, and procedures for verification of compliance and vulnerability requirements
  • Knowledge of security engineering, design concepts, and principles
  • Familiarity with System Life Cycle Development (SDLC) methodologies and the 800 series of NIST Special Publications (in particular 800-37, 800-39, 800-53, 800-53A, 800-94 and 800-115) and Committee National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253
  • Experience with modern networks, operating systems, databases, and virtual computing
  • Experience conducting information system security control assessments (SCAs)
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense, Department of Navy, and Intelligence Community policies, procedures, and guidelines for designing secure architectures
  • Ability to develop and interpret security architectures, data flow diagrams, engineering electrical/pinout drawings, and publications that depict the system(s) architecture
  • Ability to identify risk areas of non-compliance and propose solutions to fulfill operational requirements and meet cybersecurity requirements simultaneously
  • Maintain Cybersecurity awareness throughout development
  • Experience Identifying and resolving issues encountered during testing
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and maintaining technical artifacts and data
  • The capacity to collaborate with systems, network, and software SMEs to gather information
  • The ability to maintain data integrity and cyber compliance
  • Proficiency with DISA's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) suite of products to include Tenable / Nessus Security Center
  • Strong customer relations, documentation, and oral communication skills
  • Self-Motivated, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality
  • Experience preparing formal written technical content for the development, implementation, and management of projects
  • Possess passion for providing quality and technically sound solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
  • 2+ years of hands on relevant technical experience

We'd be Impressed if You Had:

  • A Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or other information systems or engineering
  • Experience with NAVWAR RMF
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows system development, integration, and testing
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system development, integration, and testing
  • Experience with general networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSPF, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum
  • Industry Certifications
