Opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist Senior to join the Micro-Motion Team. The EH&S Specialist will be responsible for safety and environmental programs (in support ISO 9001) ensuring the safety of all employees, and protection of the environment through compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate regulations and policies. This position is located in West Chester, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the site worker's compensation program for all employees. This includes conducting accident/incident investigations and re-enactments to identify root causes, develop and propose correction solutions. The EHS Specialist will able be responsible for working with the employee, claims manager and healthcare provider to manage the claim and safely return the employee to full duty.
Develops, implements, trains, and sustains programs which proactively eliminate safety hazards associated with product design, facility operations, manufacturing processes, ergonomics, product distribution, and waste discharge/disposal. Effectively communicate these programs to all employees and provide Supervisory and disciplinary guidance.
Drives a management-supported and employee-driven safety culture to proactively eliminate safety hazards through achievement of daily/monthly/annual safety goals.
Maintain required regulatory and agency required paperwork and permits (i.e., OSHA logs, permits, etc.) in a timely manner, and prepare related documents for signature.
Ensures compliance to all local, state, and federal Environmental and Safety regulations.
Achieves critical metrics for OSHA Rate, Audit Closure, Accurate Incident Reporting and Reduction, RCCM, Training Completion, and Employee Involvement.
Participates in front-end process engineering events focusing on risk assessment, evaluation of new processes for safety and ergonomic considerations, and review of facility layouts for potential EH&S issues.
Leads Micro-Motion/Portescap Safety Orientation and scheduled Safety training on procedures and work instructions.

Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to organize and effectively coordinate multiple and frequently conflicting, concurrent tasks, with good follow-through.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Safety or equivalent technical field
5+ years EH&S experience
Experience with OSHA and other Safety programs preferred
