Join Berkeley Lab's dynamic team as an Assurance Program Analyst, where you'll be the driving force behind crucial program assurance activities in the Security and Emergency Services Division. You'll lead self-assessments, manage issues, and ensure compliance with program requirements. What You Will Do:

  • Assist in tracking and completing corrective actions and implementation plans.
  • Support risk management activities, including metrics and reports.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Institutional Assurance and Integrity for timely action on requirements.
  • Conduct assessments and causal analyses independently, recommending corrective actions.
  • Organize assurance activity teams and foster stakeholder relationships.
  • Support all program areas, including Safeguards & Security and Emergency Services.
  • Maintain performance metrics and scorecard indicators.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and official correspondence for program elements and Division Director.
  • Validate objective evidence for submission.
  • Develop and present professional presentations.
  • Coordinate data call process for audits and assessments.
  • Prepares for assurance-focused meetings and events.

What is Required:

Assurance Program Analyst Level 2:

  • BA/BS degree with 4-8 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in program assurance and contract compliance.
  • Proficient in interpreting complex requirements and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in implementing assurance activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with problem-solving ability.Advanced proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools.

Additional Requirements for Assurance Program Analyst Level 3:

  • BA/BS degree with 8+ years related experience or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Department of Energy Contract Assurance System.
  • Knowledge of LBNL/UC policies and project management tools.

Notes:

  • This is a full-time career appointment, exempt (monthly paid) from overtime pay.
  • The Assurance Program Analyst Level 2 position is expected to pay $94,000 - $115,000 annually, with the maximum salary of $142,000 annually.
  • The Assurance Program Analyst Level 3 position is expected to pay $113,000 - $139,000 annually, with the maximum salary of $170,000 annually.
  • Salary for this position will commensurate with the final candidate's qualification and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, certifications, plus also aligned with the internal peer group.
  • It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience.
  • This position may be subject to a background check. Any convictions will be evaluated to determine if they directly relate to the responsibilities and requirements of the position. Having a conviction history will not automatically disqualify an applicant from being considered for employment.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule - a combination of teleworking and performing work on site at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, 1 Cyclotron Road, Berkeley, CA. Work schedules are dependent on business needs. Individuals working a hybrid schedule must reside within 150 miles of Berkeley Lab.
