As Saab is establishing a new aerospace operation in West Lafayette, IN, we are seeking a Finance Site Controller to be part of our leadership team coordinating the completion of all plant accounting and financial reporting activities. This position develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. You will also conduct technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance analyzing and preparing recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. Beyond the daily operation of T7 manufacturing you also will perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

The successful candidate will be involved in all financial matters, including:

  • Controlling production costs and inventory management

  • Building an efficient financial reporting structure

  • Managing a local, growing finance team

  • Reporting financial status and performance

  • Leading forecasting and budgeting processes

  • Implementing and managing the company ERP-system

  • Modeling Company core values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support

  • Creating financial business plans for prospective new business models

  • Other financial projects as assigned

Compensation Range: $154,300- $204,500

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline is required. MBA desirable.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with proven track record of success in leading mid to large functional and/or program organizations.

  • Extensive knowledge of Production Control and Financial Control

  • Experience setting up a financial structure in a company

  • Knowledge and experience of ERP implementations and/or major upgrades

  • Familiar with the manufacturing environment, preferably in Aerostructures

  • Excellent communication and proven leadership skills

  • Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively in a team setting

  • Driven, innovative and takes initiative without being asked

  • Accepting of new ideas and has the desire to continue learning

  • Experience with government cost accounting

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
