Job Summary:

The Corporate Development Associate will perform activities related to mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and alliance opportunities. This position also provides data, reports, and presentations to and answers questions about data to both the Treasury department and external departments.

This position acknowledges a more advanced understanding of the data, information, terminology, and technology (financial modeling software & spreadsheets) than a Financial Analyst and an ability to communicate results to groups outside the department.This position can train others as well as make recommendations for correction and improvements.

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical and research support to identify merger, acquisition, disposition and alliance opportunities, including market analysis, target screening, and target assessment
  • Participate in analytical support of business unit strategies
  • Provide support for interdisciplinary teams across the company to drive results
  • Provide analytical support towards valuation of target companies including financial analysis and modeling Support due diligence and data room development
  • Provide research support for deal structuring and negotiation activities
  • Provide support for internal alignment; facilitate transparency of work products
  • Assist with creation of Senior Management communications
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in M&A activities
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:
  • 3-4 years experience in highly analytic/quantitative position with investment bank, public accounting firm and/or corporation
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferablyin finance, accounting, or economics related field
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.Advanced financial modeling skills.Ability to synthesize complex data.
  • Beginning ability to synthesize quantitative work and present ideas to manager.
  • Beginning ability to structure documents to effectively communicate results of work.
  • Experience with insurance or other financial institutions preferred.
  • Comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills from prior employment and extracurricular activities
  • CPA, CFA, etc. preferred but not required

Compensation offered for this role is$75,000.00-$80,000.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
