Associate Finance Manager, Treasury Capital Markets

OVERVIEW:

Treasury creates shareholder value by optimizing GMI's capital structure while flawlessly executing our fiduciary responsibilities: 1) managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk; 2) efficiently managing cash flows; and 3) protecting GMI's financial and fixed assets. Treasury roles are technical with a solid knowledge of financial markets and cash management being at the base.

The Associate Manager (AFM), Capital Markets is responsible for supporting the Sr. Treasury Manager, Capital Markets in determining capital structure strategy, executing long-term capital markets transactions, monthly and annual plan forecasting processes, in addition to managing bank and rating agency relationships.

The key career experiences you will gain in this role are broadening experiences in corporate finance and by working with external banking partners. You will gain functional experiences in building and executing a financial plan, owning a Treasury functional process, and potentially supporting M&A or other complex strategic projects. You will have leadership experiences in a matrix relationship management locally and in a global setting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform timely debt, interest expense and shares forecasting, partner with Global Treasury leads and planning and analysis teams to generate monthly estimates and perform analysis of change.
  • Maintain and analyze the cash flow model used for 3 year and long-range plans, capital structure and financing plans, and determining shareholder returns
  • Assist in the execution of long-term debt issuances and support all domestic and global banking relationships
  • Support GMI's external financial reporting process by performing month-end and quarter-end close tasks, including hedge valuation and accrual calculations, preparation of debt and derivative disclosures, VAR analysis and credit exposure reporting
  • Contribute to the annual corporate WACC recommendation
  • Recommend and execute GMI's interest rate risk management strategy
  • Contribute to dividend and share repurchase planning and execution
  • Support quarterly calls and on-going dialogue with rating agencies
  • Help create board and rating agency presentations
  • Keep informed of relevant regulatory changes and support as appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 5+ years applicable finance and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrated capability in Analytical Proficiency
  • Demonstrated capability in Compliance Leadership
  • Solid understanding of financial markets (External Orientation and Financial Acumen)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of corporate treasury experience in a multinational company with a solid understanding of financial markets
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and SAP

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Minneapolis is the preferred location for this position, however - we are open to 100% remote candidates with travel based on business needs.
  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $90100.00 - $135300.00 / Annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
