Job Description

Moog is looking for a Senior Analog Design Engineer for our Analog or Power Design and Validation team. You will be focused on electronic subsystem architecture, detailed design, simulation, test, and document efforts. Reporting to an Engineering manager, you will have a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) in Torrance, CA.

As a Sr. Analog Design Engineer, you will:

* Function as a lead engineer on assigned programs and provide technical support for the project.

* Design low or high voltage analog electronics circuits with high reliability requirements for aviation environments.

* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary product development team that defines requirements, performs trade studies, creates the subsystem designs, and implements the quality design methodology. This role is responsible for the low or high power discrete analog design, component selection, modeling, and performance analysis.

* Conduct design activities including component derating, worst case analysis, design failure mode effects analysis, and bench performance testing.

* Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with customer specifications and engineering policies and procedures.

* Prepare and issue engineering reports.

* Support test development, early production builds, analyze and troubleshoot modules in the lab and if needed in the customer site.

* Direct and define activities of supporting engineers and technicians.

* Be responsible for meeting cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

* Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

* Provide support to other departments to maintain and improve quality, schedule, or cost objectives.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

* Minimum 10+ years of professional engineering experience in electrical design and circuit analysis

* Solid knowledge of circuit design and a wide range of electronic components

* Basic knowledge of closed-loop control systems

* Experience with component derating, worst case analysis, and 3-Sigma tolerance analysis

* Experience and proficiency with the creation of ECAD schematics

* Proficiency in the creation and execution of PSPICE, PSIM, and/or Microcap simulation of electronic circuits

This job requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

It'd be great if you also had:

* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering

* Proficiency with Cadence, TeamCenter, and DOORS

* Experience with military and commercial avionic standards (DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810)

* Experience with avionic interfaces (L/RVDT, resolvers, EHSV, DDV, solenoids, pressure sensors)

* Experience with power conversion

Salary range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $175,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
