JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for keeping Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) analytics, and reporting environments up-to-date and operating at an optimal level paving the way for stable systems and smooth running applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, analyze, and otherwise maintain PeopleSoft system performance, as well as carry out performance tuning as needed. Overnight processing is initiated by the mainframe scheduler and monitored at the NOC, but this position will be included in the "on call" list whenever there are potential issues/problems.
  • Monitor Integration Broker which handles email and approvals processing
  • Manage all PeopleSoft development, test, and production environments.
  • Work with Database Administrator (DBAs) to rebuild/clone PeopleSoft environments as needed.
  • Set up and maintain application servers, process schedulers and web servers.
  • Perform People Tools and application upgrades as needed.
  • Download and install PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image quarterly
  • Apply patches and updates and perform project migrations as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other staff to develop, evaluate, install and test software enhancements
  • Customization development starting from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, through production migration and support
  • Work with PeopleSoft developers to resolve issues, tune code, and execute database queries.
  • Member of the support team working to maintain a healthy ERP application which includes Finance, IT, and outside vendors.
  • Track People Tools object changes and migrate between environments as needed.
  • Track non-People Tools data changes and migrate between environments as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for the Hyperion Systems Administer to support the Essbase application including but not limited to data load and validation, cube development, security, EssBase calculations, application and reporting issue resolution. As well as, the Hyperion planning application including but not limited to metadata management, data loads and validations, business rule development and execution, security, setting and management of substitution variables.
  • Administers the Oracle financial services analytical applications including but not limited to metadata management, data loads and validations, business rule development and execution, security, setting and management of substitution variables.
  • Partner with Database Administrators, Server Administrators, Finance Administrators, Hyperion System Administrator and Financial Analysts as required as technologies change, on application upgrades and replacement as needed. The Financial Systems Administrator will be tasked with knowledge transfer and support of these future applications in support of Finance operations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or IT; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years related experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience administering financial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or similar systems preferred.
  • A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Application Designer, installing, configuring, and maintaining PeopleSoft's architecture (Application Server, Process Scheduler, and Web Server, client applications), managing and configuring various PeopleTools utilities, and ability to perform basic Oracle or SQL (structured query language) database administration tasks required.
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning Suite and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications, Life Cycle Management (LCM), Financial Reports a plus
  • Experienced understanding of Banking reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting in a financial services organization preferred.
