Overview

TISTA Science and Technology is looking for a Human Centered Designer to join a program that performs IT Operations and Maintenance, Infrastructure Protection and Information and Assurance, and Software Development Support Services for our federal client.

Responsibilities
    Help develop and maintain a collaborative platform for the CoE to communicate with and support it's stakeholders
  • Assist Scrum Masters/Agile Coaches in maintaining a backlog of escalated impediments and blockers
  • Provide logistical support for training events and workshops.
  • Work with strategic partners and stakeholders to implement cultural changes needed for successful Agile transformation Utilizing industry best practices, assist in planning and executing custom coaching at the Portfolio, Program and Team level
  • Assist in coaching multiple, distributed teams collaborating as ARTs
  • Assist in assessing the current organization and delivery environment
  • Prepare and publish relevant metrics to internal and client teams using effective communication techniques
  • Help perform hands-on project work, including analysis, design and change management, as needed by individual projects
  • Help facilitate meetings and discussion as needed for diverse groups of government stakeholders and multiple contractor subject matter experts
  • Assist in creating/updating custom SAFe training material for clients as necessary
  • Assist with development of education & outreach materials and other external communications as directed by TISTA leadership
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT project management
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals utilizing strategic partnership principles
  • Experience in assisting teams write epics/user stories, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
  • Experience in a customer-facing roles, including comprehending business needs, solving complex problems, and capturing business requirements to convert them into backlog items
  • Confidence to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
  • Strong planning & collaboration skills along with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work with minimal guidance, act independently and exercise an mature level of decision-making capability
  • Experience working on large-scale programs that are of high priority, visibility, and public-facing, preferred

Education:

  • Master's degree in Enginerring or a related scientific/technical discipline or
    an additional 10 years of experience (total of 20 years without Master's)
  • SAFe Scrum Master, Product Owner, or other Certification preferred

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $65,240 to $87,500
    The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
    Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
