Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our organization in Wichita, KS. This role will lead a team of accountants in our Consolidations and Leveraged Capabilities team and report to our Assistant Controller.


What You Will Do

Drive retention by empowering team members and recognizing their unique contributions.
  • Partnership with Operations and Business Teams: Act as a proactive leader in forging strong partnerships with operations and business teams. Provide analytical insights that support strategic initiatives and contribute to profitable decision-making. Align financial analysis with the broader company vision and values to create mutual benefit.
  • Internal Reporting: Serve as the primary contact for KES global leveraged capabilities and Headquarters companies, ensuring rigorous adherence to standards and timely, accurate reporting. Champion transparency and integrity in all financial documentation and processes.
  • Financial Control Environment: Maintain and enhance an effective financial control environment that upholds our commitment to stewardship, compliance, and risk management. Ensure robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and provide reliable financial information.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Capabilities: Leverage strong analytical skills to originate ideas, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and conduct thorough analyses. Draw sound conclusions and effectively communicate your perspective to influence decisions and drive value creation.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in an Accounting/Finance focused role(s) that require a solid understanding of accounting processes, US GAAP requirements, and financial reporting
  • Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerApps)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Experience (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in Accounting and Analysis roles
  • Experience using OneStream, Power BI, Alteryx, or other data analytic and visualization tools
  • Experience with accounting consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and consolidating international entities with foreign currencies
  • Experience in process innovation/transformation/implementation
