Position Description

Your Opportunity:

As a full-time assembler and tester for TechSource, you will provide support to a new National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) flash X-ray radiography capability. This radiography capability is a multi-pulse linear induction accelerator, nicknamed Scorpius. You will work with lead engineers to assemble and test cells and modules. You will also assist with the assembly and testing of test stands and pulsed power systems. Full-time onsite work in Los Alamos, NM is required for this role (4/10 or 5/8 work schedule).

What You Will Do:

• Work with lead engineers to assemble and test 2 cells and modules.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to assemble materials.
• Support the assembly and testing of test stands and pulsed power systems.
• Retrieve and organize materials for upcoming builds.
• Support testing and verification efforts.
• Package and ship completed modules and cells.

What You Will Need:

• 3 or more years of equipment assembling and testing experience.
• Ability to follow direction provided by lead engineers and senior technicians.
• Ability to follow written directions and procedures.
• Familiarity with basic tools, Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and lifting & rigging equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to move, walk, and work easily in assembly and test environments.
• Ability to work in a safe manner and follow all site safety requirements.
• US Citizenship necessary for role.
• Must be able to complete required training within first 3 months in position.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred skills: *Forklift certification.

• Overhead crane certification/experience.
• Familiarity with large machine shop tools such as lathes, presses, saws, grinders, CNC, and such.
• Welding, mechanic, or machine shop experience.
• Electrical component assembly and testing experience.
