Acara Solutions is looking to hire a Tool Room Supervisor for our client in Reading, MA.

Hours: 1st shift Mon-Fri 7-330 or 8-430pm
Pay: $44-$50/hour based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development and testing activities to ensure the business objectives are met, to maximize productivity and maintain the highest levels of workmanship for all tooling activities.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical advice and support on all aspects of Tool design, manufacturing and estimating

  1. Support production and engineering with tooling/technical problems

  1. Supervise/Manage the running and plan activities of the tool room facilities and toolmakers, ensuring the tool room is a safe environment in line with health, safety and environmental requirements

  1. Supports Production and Engineering to manage and guarantee on time availability of tools to ensure continuous production

  1. Support proposals on new equipment and tool design

  1. Oversee all work through the tool room efficiently and cost effectively and ensure that all target dates for tooling are met

  1. Provide quotations for new tooling, modifications and repairs

  1. CNC programming experience is needed


Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 10-15 years of tool room experience
  • Mold Making experience needed
  • Strong Technical understanding
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • CNC programming experience is a plus
