Dunnhumby is seeking an ambitious Corporate Development and Strategy Lead to join our global Strategy team. You will play a critical role in identifying and executing strategic investments and partnerships that drive innovation and growth for dunnhumby. This is a unique global role which combines early-stage venture investing through dunnhumby ventures, merger & acquisition (M&A) execution, and strategic partnership structuring.

Working directly with the Head of Corporate Development, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring retail technology industry trends and emerging themes to identify new ecosystem partnerships and investment opportunities aligned to dunnhumby's long-term strategy;
  • Sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in strategically aligned industries such as artificial intelligence, retail data & analytics, and adtech;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and assess synergies between dunnhumby and its partners;
  • Managing the due diligence process around potential investments and making investment recommendations to senior leadership;
  • Leading financial modeling for investments and partnerships including valuation, market sizing, and business plan modelling.

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, business, or a related field;
  • 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, corporate development, venture investing, strategy, investment management, or a related field;
  • Entrepreneurial passion for investing, technology, and corporate strategy;
  • Financial modeling skills including business plan formulation, returns analyses, and valuation (discounted cash flow, trading and transaction comparables, regression modeling)
  • Proven track record of identifying and executing successful investments and/or partnerships in a principal or advisory capacity, ideally focused on software, data & analytics, or other technology sectors
