Position Summary |
The
Department of Neurology in the UNM School of Medicine plays a critical role in
improving the health of all New Mexicans. Our department is the Southwestern
hub for advanced neurological diagnosis and patient care. We seek a dynamic
individual to join our team as a Scheduling Coordinator and be a part of our
important mission and exciting growth. This position can be a hybrid work
schedule, working partially in the office and partially remote (after training).
This
position will play a key role in the Practice Management Team and will be
responsible for all scheduling, coordination and implementation of clinical
schedules for yearly, monthly and quarterly schedules. This position will also
participate in special projects in coordination with the Credentialing Rep and
Practice Manager regarding clinical administration and credentialing.
Duties
and responsibilities: - Ensure scheduling accuracy for clinical scheduling in compliance with leave policy - Manage leave requests, approvals, and changes to schedules for clinical faculty in scheduling system - Assist providers with scheduling and leave request questions or concerns - Create job aids, tutorials, videos, and training and process documents for leave and scheduling in system - Create and maintain scheduling data reports for leaders including FTE/goal maintenance, leave request totals, and night coverage - Manage the system updates and new software implementations for clinical scheduling system - Gather data, manage and create new reports/projects for clinic, faculty, and leaders - Develop and plan process improvements for scheduling and credentialing - Create new and update SOPS for credentialing and scheduling

Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |

Qualifications: - Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques. - Analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills - Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities - Working knowledge of automated scheduling systems and processes, as appropriate to the position - Intermediate skills in scheduling software and MS Excel - Word processing and/or data entry skills - Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects and events - Ability to schedule events and/or facilities usage |
