Duties/Responsibilities:

Individual Solicitations: 75%

Annual Giving Portfolio: (=<$25,000)

  1. Manage portfolio of approximately 250 households of annual giving prospects - both for athletics and broader University priorities including National Bison Club.
  2. In collaboration w/ the AVP of Annual Giving, coordinate activities in connection with Lipscomb's Giving Day
  3. Work w/ Athletics, including Athletic Director and coaches in developing and executing annual giving strategies.
  4. In collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Annual Giving, coordinate activities in connection with Lipscomb Day of Giving.
  5. Ensure the Department of Athletics website content and links with appeal codes are updated as needed.

Major Giving Portfolio: (=>$25,000)

  1. Manage portfolio of ~40 households of major gift prospects.
  2. Provide development leadership by identifying, engaging and successfully soliciting individuals, corporations, and foundations for gift support.
  3. Develop solicitation strategies for major gift donors by conducting research, identifying and prioritizing top prospective donors, creating plans for engaging donors with the university, and establishing philanthropic relationships which lead to a major gift.

    Stewardship and Engagement: 25%

    1. Implement an stewardship plan for Athletics and University donors to message gratitude and illustrate impact. In addition, this position is responsible for fulfilling the benefits associated with the National Bison Club.
    2. Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan alumni events around sporting events. (Pre-game events, Homecoming Weekend, Sport specific alumni reunions, golf scrambles, etc.)
    3. Manage and monitor donor relationships and prospects effectively ensuring appropriate call reports and documentation are properly recorded.
    4. Perform other related duties as assigned.
