The Opportunity:
We're looking for skilled Controls Engineers keen on turning customer specifications into advanced solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Controls System Design: Develop and evaluate controls for warehouse automation, focusing on optimizing space, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Automated System Implementation: Play a lead role in the installation and maintenance of automated systems, including conveyors, AS/RS, and robotic picking systems.
  • System Integration: Integrate controls with Inventory Control Systems, Robotics, and WMS to ensure seamless operation and real-time data availability.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all control systems meet industry safety standards and regulatory requirements, implementing safety protocols where needed.
  • Simulation & Testing: Use advanced tools to simulate controls performance, especially during peak times, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain controls systems to ensure peak operational efficiency and minimal disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the metrics of control systems and suggest adjustments to enhance accuracy and speed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the most effective control solutions are sourced, integrated, and upheld.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to team members on controls systems, ensuring they can operate and address basic issues.
  • Data Analysis: Extract and analyze data from control systems to derive insights on system performance, using this information for continuous improvement and predictive maintenance.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in controls engineering, with a focus on warehouse automation, automated material handling, and distribution.
  • Proven track record in integrating controls with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with industry-standard control systems, RFID implementations, and other warehousing control technologies.

Technical Expertise:

  • Solid understanding of AS/RS, conveyor systems, and other material handling solutions from a controls perspective.
  • Proficient in using simulation tools and platforms relevant to controls engineering and automation.
  • Deep knowledge of programming languages or platforms used in controls, automation, and system integration.
