Since integrating into Lundbeck in October 2019, Lu-SBP has supported commercial launch of Lundbeck's first biologic product (Vyepti) and advancement of a growing biologics pipeline in collaboration with our Copenhagen-based Process Science & Validation Team.The Lu-SBP team leads and supports the development of new product candidates from cell line development through commercial validation of Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing processes. SUMMARY:
Provide support for early and late-stage analytical development and characterization towards commercialization of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and other biotherapeutic molecules. Responsibilities include providing testing support on a variety of analytical techniques, data analysis, and documentation. Additionally, there will be opportunities to participate in assay optimization and report writing. This role will interact with Lundbeck Seattle Upstream, Downstream, Formulation, and Quality Control groups so strong interpersonal skills will be beneficial.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine testing to support process development, formulations/DP and characterization and stability evaluations of Lundbeck molecules

  • Ensure analytical instruments are maintained, assist with analytical method optimization and method troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with other internal functions including Upstream, Downstream and Quality Control on testing deliverables for multiple projects

  • Ensure lab efficiency with on-time delivery of results

  • Conduct experiments and data analysis and interpret results with supervision

  • Perform data verification

  • Be willing to step in and help with any tasks in Analytical Development

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree in scientific disciplinewith 1+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry (or equivalent industry)

  • Must have experience performing HPLC/UPLC and/or wet chemistry assays

  • Successful candidate will have good oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and effectively work in a team environment

  • Ability to focus and work in a fast-pace and results oriented environment is essential

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • BS in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry

  • Extensive experience in Empower software

  • Experience with other analytical techniques such as CE-SDS or cIEF is a plus

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 5% domestically. International travel may be required. (If applicable)

The range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work orresidein the state ofWashington, if selected for this role, and may vary based on various factorssuch as the candidate's qualifications, skills,competenciesandproficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $31.25/hour- $38.46/hour and eligibility for an 8% bonus target based on company and individual performance.
