Summary

Residential Program Manager

Maine Behavioral Healthcare provides transitional residential treatment programs to people who experience mental health challenges in an environment that is supportive and encourages continued treatment and community integration. There are 12 programs located between York and Belfast. The Residential Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the residential facilities, supervising and assisting staff in helping clients/residents work toward goals leading to independent community living.

What you will do:

  • Supervise care team members who are assisting residents in establishing and meeting treatment goals.
  • Manage the day to day activities of the residential treatment program including:
    • Hire and orientation of new care team members
    • Assure each resident's abilities and needs are adequately assessed
    • Develop pertinent service plan based upon assessment and that each resident is offered all services as indicated in the service plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure departmental compliance with all Agency licensing standards and regulations
  • Supervise the work of assigned employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures
  • Ensure that all required reporting and other client-related documentation, including documents related to billing, are completed by staff in a timely manner
  • Actively embraces a culture of engagement and models best practice management behaviors that create an environment where employees are respected, recognized and motivated to perform their best work

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or extensive experience in the field.
  • License/Certifications: MHRT-II or higher certification is preferred, or eligibility to receive MHRT-C Certification. Valid driver's license and appropriate level of automobile liability insurance.
  • Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred. 2+ years of experience working with the chronic mentally ill is required.
He/she will ensure that client service delivery practices are ethical, culturally-competent, respectful of diversity and inclusion, welcoming, and geared to customer service satisfaction. This position will work in collaboration with various departments across the MaineHealth system and outside agencies to achieve the desired outcomes for our clients.
