Responsible for performing a variety of patient, cafeteria and catering services functions that may include;
Preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, distribution and service, general sanitation, cleaning and use of kitchen equipment and pantries
Inventories and maintain necessary food and other supplies to ensure an efficient operation of Food Service.
Orders food and supplies based upon product specifications and ordering protocols and procedures
Stores food and supplies in correct containers and in proper storage areas according to department guidelines as indicated by non-spoilage of food.
Transports food carts and equipment in a safe manner throughout the facility as required
Preparation of high-quality food items according to standardized recipes or instructions in order to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
Serve meals and/or prepare for delivery at times, using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature, attractive and palatable. Tastes all food items prepared.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Food Handler Cared or Servsafe Certificate preferred
