Communicates and coordinates daily with Food Service Supervisor/ Manager on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.
Cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu itemsusing standardized recipes.
Offers and serves correct portions to comply with patient diets.
Assists in the cooking, preparation and service of food for special events when required.
Checks foods for taste and temperature.
Replenishes food items as needed.
Prepares needed foods for next day's production.
Train and orient new staff in work area.
Assist in the cross training of employees
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Three to six months related experience and or training preferred
Food handler card or SERV safe certificate preferred
