Effectively supervise and train staff to ensure service is provided to all guests in a multi-meal restaurant, hotel bar, and Room Service.

Job Specifics

* Make inspection rounds ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance, adequate supplies.

* Monitor staff adherence to all service standards, SOPs and Loews SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct Uniform/Groom standards.

* Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.

* Assist Outlet Manager to establish and monitor side work duty completion.

* Maintain bank to SOP, keep it balanced and secure at all times.

* Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check for all personnel call offs and check floor plan for coverage.

* Check restaurant and heart of house areas for cleanliness and set up (i.e. table cleanliness, stands etc.).

* Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.

* Assist Outlet Manager in conducting menu classes and taste panels.

* Assist Outlet Manager in conducting month end inventory count and recording.

* Communicates with Team Members during service, scheduling, safety chats, MSDS, post bulletins.

* Required to attend all training sessions and meetings.

* Ensure proper handling of guest checks and cash transactions.

* Intercedes and/or fills in for Team Members should need occur.

* Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point.

* Excellent organizational skills.

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities

* Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.

* Attends scheduled meeting and training classes.

* Know and enforces hotel policies, procedures, standards and ABC regulations including grooming, service and emergency.

* Complies with hotel policies and rules and uniform and grooming procedures.

* Encourages a positive attitude among employees and treats other employees and guest with courtesy and respect.

* Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

* Is polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employees.

Qualifications

* Minimum one year as a Restaurant Supervisor in a similar sized food and beverage operation in either an independent restaurant or hotel restaurant setting.

* Three years experience in a multi-meal upscale restaurant setting, practical experience in all front of house positions, preferred.

* Understanding of all front of house positions in a multi- meal food and beverage outlet to include server, host, bartender and server assistant.

* Able to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends and holidays.

* Proven, professional written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.

* Able to make decisions on imperfect information.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

* Knowledge of food and beverage trends.

* Knowledge of Micros systems.

* TABC permit or ability to obtain TABC permit.
