Overview of Role

In the role of Advanced Manufacturing Technician, you would be located at our Technology Development Center in St. Louis, Missouri working with production and maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Technician, you will be reporting to the Engineering Team Leader.

Working with the maintenance team, you will support the manufacturing production teams to repair and improve the equipment and tooling used for our manufacturing production processes. This role will be critical in ensuring minimum downtime for equipment to ensure deliverability of products to our customers.

Working within our constructive culture as the Advanced Manufacturing Technician, you will advance and develop your autonomy, mastery and purpose, through coaching and leadership provided by your team leader.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leverages support resources to achieve goals and objectives without delegating ownership and responsibility
  • Technical, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of processes and equipment to determine root cause and facilitate repair and improvement
  • Mentors, trains, and develops fellow team members and ensures proper training records are retained
  • Remains current on product, process, and equipment development
  • Delivers consistently on improvement, waste elimination, and helps resolve internal and external customer technical issues as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures and update necessary documentation, as well as determine opportunities for improvement with regards to equipment and tooling reliability and quality.
  • Performs product, process, and equipment audits, maintain logs, and analyzes data
  • Evaluates yield, performance, and other statistical data for trends and develop corresponding product or process improvements and updating appropriate documentation
  • Responsible for production performance and assessment regarding Improvement, Standard Work & PSCs (Problem Solving Centers)
  • Communicates and/or escalates issues and opportunities as required
  • Follows Standard Operating Process (SOP)

Required Qualifications

  • Well organized and maintains a detail-oriented mindset
  • Work Well within Team Environment
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in the use of various measurement tools/gauges, electrical equipment, temperature & power controls, temperature sensors, and fluid control devices
  • Good mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems

Desired Qualifications

  • High-school graduate/ GED preferred
  • Preferred two-year degree or technical certificate or related experience (3-5 years)
  • Leadership Training
