Have a passion for making a difference in the education, careers, and lives of hundreds of thousands of college-level students? zyBooks is a professor-formed product with interactive online learning content that replaces college-level textbooks, homework, and even programming lab assignments. zyBooks offers the excitement of a young, energetic startup environment with a masterfully engineered platform and high-demand content for the STEM college market. zyBooks is dedicated to the success of college students worldwide, having provided courseware to more than 900,000 students in over 900 universities.

zyBooks is seeking a full-time, entry level person with a BS in CS, CE, or a related field to work as a Content Technology Developer. The position involves a variety of engineering, content, and support tasks related to developing modern interactive learning content in STEM disciplines.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Creating, revising, and reviewing online learning content, including implementing animations and automatically graded homework problems according to authors' specs
  • Creating mappings of our textbook content to match instructors' syllabi
  • Managing our content release process
  • Coordinating and troubleshooting with engineering as issues arise
  • Coordinating with fulfillment and sales enablement
  • Providing technical and content support to college instructors and students as well as to authors
  • Helping to develop various software tools like simulators or content-creation automation
  • Providing demos, and more

What We Look For:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • GPA 3.2 or above
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Highly reliable and methodical
  • Some coding experience a plus
  • Able to learn Javascript, Python, and web technologies
