EHS Engineer
JOB PURPOSE:

Provide skilled assistance to all designated aspects of the EHS department involving a variety of tasks, projects and reporting associated with the environment, sustainability, health and safety.

NATURE OF WORK:

*Assist in organizing, planning, scheduling, researching, data collection, data analysis, reporting and communication to obtain and process required information and complete required tasks.

*Responding to customer sustainability questionnaires

*Completing yearly GRI reporting to support the publication of the annual CSR Report

*Collecting environmental data and performing in-depth data analysis

*Preparing, reviewing and revising environmental related reports

*Reviewing, updating and maintaining plans, policies and standard operating procedures

*Generating and submitting required reports to various governmental agencies

*Providing periodic review and revisions of environmental, health and safety policies

*Ensuring compliance with government and industry regulations

*Exercising strong analytical and critical thinking skills

*Staying informed of new environmental and sustainable legislation

*Conducting research of sustainability material and emerging green technologies

*Maintaining a high level of familiarity with sustainability reporting methodologies

*Interpreting and finalizing responses to EHS and ESG reporting platforms such as CDP and Ecovadis

*Developing environmental methodologies to align with sustainability initiatives and projects

*Contributing to the review and audit process for ISO 14001 re-certification

*Facilitating compliance with new reporting requirements such as Scope 3 emissions and PFAS

*Offering site assistance with environmental and safety issues when elevated to the corporate level

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

*A minimum of 2 years previous experience working in an environmental/safety role.

*Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desired.

*Good verbal and written communication skills

*Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

*Ability to multi-task,interact and deal with customers, co-workers, vendors, and regulatory agencies and tocoordinate and work effectively with many different plants

*Knowledge with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.

Salary Range(annual): $65,000 - $78,000
