Trilogy Federal is looking fora Senior Process and Requirements Analyst with knowledge and experience in Veteran benefit claims processing. The candidate should be a motivated professional who brings expertise in business process analysis, process re-engineering, and requirements management to support clients in achieving their mission of providing timely and accurate benefits to Veterans and their families. The Senior Process and Requirements Analyst will play a key role in defining and optimizing business processes as well as leading efforts to manage business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and technical writing skills, visual process modeling, and requirements documentation experience.
This role has the potential for very limited travel (3-5 days once or twice a year), but no travel is planned at this time.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process Analysis
  • Lead end-to-end process analysis activities to identify areas for improvement, streamline workflows, and drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document current processes, and develop future state process models.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of process data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, root causes, and areas of inefficiency.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, such as standard operating procedures, that meets customer requirements.
  • Gain deep understanding of the customer products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the customer, turning insights into language for user success.
  • Design and implement process optimization initiatives, leveraging industry best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and process mapping sessions to foster collaboration and alignment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, or other relevant frameworks.


  • Requirements Analysis
  • Lead requirements gathering activities, working closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to facilitate requirements elicitation and ensure a thorough understanding of stakeholder needs and objectives.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements, identifying dependencies, conflicts, and gaps to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with project goals.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and other requirement artifacts.
  • Facilitate requirement review sessions with stakeholders to validate requirements, gather feedback, and obtain approval/sign-off.
  • Maintain and manage requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that changes are properly documented and communicated.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on requirement management tools and methodologies, recommending process improvements and tool enhancements as needed.
  • Participate in project planning and estimation activities, providing input on scope, effort, and resource requirements based on the analysis of requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Engineering, English, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business process and requirements analysis.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills, having the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Candidate must have a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Experience with requirement management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Rational DOORS.
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • Expertise in process modeling techniques and tools, such as BPMN, Visio, or Lucidchart.
  • Experience with process optimization methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar approaches.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading requirements analysis efforts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, BPMN)
  • Previous experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration, Compensation Service

This range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
