What You'll Get To Do:

The Senior Financial Analyst position within PEXNA-IT will be responsible for many of the daily financial and accounting functions of the shared services group. This position will work heavily with TBM (Technology Business Management) solution to improve IT operational and management framework and streamline expense management. This position has the potential to supervise one other team member and reports to the Group Manager of IT Financial Services.

  • Accounting and Financial Analysis - Month-end close entries and review of general ledger accounts (accruals, reclasses, prepaid, balance sheet, T&E).
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management and business units by review of balance sheet, income statement, and P&L through variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Billing Posting and Review - Monthly creation and posting of billing entries in SAP.
  • Development of service rates. G/L account review.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with BUs by timely response of inquiries and adjusting entries as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Administration of Apptio as a TBM (Technology Business Management) solution for IT Finance.
  • Work on centralizing and streamlining expense management, billing, and budget processes into Apptio.
  • Use of benchmarking and comparative analysis to evaluate industry competitiveness and enhance business unit transparency.
  • Budget preparation and cost allocation - Assist in forecasting, analyzing, constructing, and allocating yearly budget to multiple business units.
  • Distribute allocations, create presentations, and create reports for management.
  • RFA creation and Controls and Compliance - Oversee submission of financial approvals and appropriate contract review processes.
  • Ensure correct documentation of contracts, agreements, and other necessary information as well as full compliance with Panasonic Japan HQ, PNA policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Fixed Asset Account Analysis and Reconciliation
  • Ad-hoc Analysis - Perform ad hoc financial analysis for dozens of projects annually.

Scope

This position will report to the Group Manager of IT Financial Services and will work closely with and supervise a senior accountant position.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 5-year minimum equivalent practical experience in related fields.
  • MBA or CPA preferred

Skills

  • Experience with ERP Systems; experience with SAP
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills (v-lookup, pivots, macros).
  • Strong analytical skills along with good judgment
  • Ability to meet deadlines with the utmost attention to details
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Communications

  • It is expected that this position be in consistent communication with other Panasonic business units, IT group managers, and various other cross-functional teams.

Other Requirements

  • Hybrid working schedule. Minimum 1 day on-site in Newark office.
  • Less than 5 percent travel required.
