City Experiences is seeking a Dock Attendant in Marina del Rey

We are seeking talented, service minded individuals who are committed to absolute guest satisfaction in a fun environment. Candidates must be 18 years old, professional, dependable, enthusiastic, friendly, and work alone effectively. Ideal candidate must also be able to handle crowds in a calm and professional manner. Customer service and cash handling experience is preferred.

Position consists of greeting guests and selling tickets, for the Marina del Rey Waterbus, at one of the eight different stops in Marina del Rey harbor. This is a great Summer job. Operating hours are Friday from 11:00am to 11:00pm, Saturday from 11:00am to 11:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am to 9:00pm. We also operate on 4th of July from 11:00am to 11:00pm and Labor Day from 11:00am to 9:00pm as well as three to be determined Thursday nights from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and the four remaining Fridays in September from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. To apply you MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING ALL OF THESE DATES. Average schedule will consist of between 3-4 shifts and 25-35 hours per week depending on the individual and the week.

Position specific responsibilities:

  • Greeting guests and selling tickets for the MDR WaterBus
  • Effectively handling cash transactions and documenting sales
  • Assisting boarding guests onto WaterBus
  • Assisting Captain with line handling and securing of vessels upon arrival and departure
  • Learning all safety and security duties required for the position
  • Assisting guests with directions and knowledge of area

Desired background:

  • Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to reach, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to handle large crowds in a calm and professional manner
  • Customer Service and Cash Handling experience preferred
  • Boating or Marina knowledge a plus
