East Carolina University is a public doctoral/research university in Greenville, North Carolina, with an enrollment of nearly 29,000 students. It is the third largest university in North Carolina. ECU offers 87 bachelor's degree programs, 69 master's degree programs, 13 research doctoral degrees, 5 professional doctoral degrees, the Brody School of Medicine and School of Dental Medicine.

The School of Music, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication, has an enrollment of over 250 music majors and minors with over 50 faculty and staff. The school is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
Job Duties
East Carolina University School of Music seeks qualified applications for a Fixed Term Teaching Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor in the vocal studies department to teach applied VOICE (any voice type). Other duties may include teaching courses in the vocal studies curriculum according to expertise. Appropriate research/creative activities and service to the university, community and profession are encouraged.

This position is contingent upon available funding.
Minimum Education/Experience
Master's degree in voice performance or vocal pedagogy. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Evidence of success as a performing artist and applied teacher at the collegiate level required. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to teaching and performing.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
N/A
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
DMA or PhD in voice performance or pedagogy. Established record of teaching, performance and scholarship.
