JOB TITLE:
Teacher, Early Childhood (Lead Infant Teacher)
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment where children have the ability to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in compliance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines. This includes a deep level understanding of NAEYC standards to maintain a classroom portfolio for the accreditation process.

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education (must have certification or endorsement in early childhood), or early childhood special education
Experience: 1 year experience teaching in an early childhood setting
Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements:
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer three years experience with development and implementation of appropriate daily curriculum activities in a team-teaching atmosphere with children; experience in supervising and assisting university practicum/lab students; current first aid and CPR certification; knowledge of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines; ability to maintain patience and composure in stressful and emergency situations. Guiding babies through education/development programs. Thinking on their feet and responding to each child's needs efficiently. Displaying a patient and calm personality coupled with a loving approach to every child. Contributing positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children. Building secure relationships with the children.
