TITLE

Coordinator, Quality Enhancement Plan

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) performs coordinative and administrative support to the QEP, in alignment with and in support of SACSCOC accreditation standards. SACSCOC requires member institutions to implement Quality Enhancement Plans, the purpose of which is to improve student outcomes. TWU's current QEP "Amplify Your Impact" focuses on graduate student thought leadership for the purpose of advancing community wellbeing through public-facing communication skill building.

The Coordinator works closely with the QEP director and other staff to collaboratively develop, implement, and evaluate strategic efforts designed to enhance student and faculty learning related to the QEP. Work is performed under minimal supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Director, Quality Enhancement Plan

Supervises: May supervise Clerical Support Staff, Student Assistants, and Interns

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

  1. Coordinates and collaborates with the QEP Director to develop system-wide strategic programming, initiatives, and services derived from the QEP proposal.
  2. Enhances organizational strategies to ensure SACSCOC compliance, including assessment.
  3. Compiles, maintains, and analyzes data related to student, faculty, and staff activity connected to the QEP.
  4. Assists with the preparation and distribution of reports including, but not limited to, annual reports, fifth-year interim report, and related reports necessary to document progress.
  5. Works collaboratively to promote QEP programming and initiatives through email, printed publications, QEP website, social media, etc.
  6. Coordinates the administration of faculty and student fellows programs, drafting guidelines and application materials, organizing the review of applications, processing financial transactions, and preparing reports.
  7. Oversees the QEP budget, including procurement processes and payments to student/faculty mentors, fellows, and grant recipients.
  8. Supports the daily operations of the physical QEP space including collaborative spaces, event spaces, workshop rooms, and offices.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assists with grant preparation.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in area generally related to project content or assigned responsibilities preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Three years' experience in generally related areas required, academic setting preferred.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

  • Ability to conduct research into higher education national trends and best practices and coordinate program initiatives based on that research.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with academic program structures in higher education.
  • Ability to prepare budgets and monitor accounts using TWU fiscal reporting systems.
  • Ability to think creatively and use technology to expand outreach and program impact.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and program goals.
  • Ability to accurately prioritize and lead concurrent projects.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and skills including Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite, Canva or other design platform, and relevant social media apps
  • Ability to coordinate work with other employees, providing direct instruction or
  • supervision as assigned.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and with
  • external stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply budgeting and fiscal planning techniques within financial constraints.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email.
