This role will be based out of our Quincy or Woburn, MA offices, and will be involved in multiple project assignments with diverse clients throughout the firm.

What you'll do

Under the direction of a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or Project Engineer, perform the following items for transportation, water distribution, pumping, and treatment systems; wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment; stream and stormwater conveyance; stormwater management and design; or land planning and development:

* Design calculations

* Bid documents including specifications and drawings

* State, federal, and local permit applications

* Perform fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, traffic counts, and construction observation

* Contribute to reports describing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts

* Use technical software to support transportation, wastewater, drinking water, or stormwater projects

* Use AutoCAD and GIS applications to support planning and design

* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff. Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for interns

* Participate in comprehensive master planning

* Assist clients with regulatory compliance

Must have

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

* Excellent writing skills

* Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS applications & proficiency with Microsoft 365

* Valid Driver's License


Like to have

*Previous intern or coop experience preferred

*EIT certification - if working towards, be able to obtain it within the first year of employment.
