Job Description

You will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and creating visual effects for video materials to support our campaigns. You will work in strong partnership with the Creative Director, Art Director, designers, and other stakeholders to evaluate, interpret, and articulate video requirements. This role requires a sophisticated approach to filmmaking, visual effects, and animation and will plan high visibility, executive-level work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Have a passion for visual storytelling with the ability to create, pitch, and produce original concepts.
  • Operate with a mastery of video and animation production processes, including concepting, storyboarding, production, lighting, and filming
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current filmmaking technology, equipment and trends.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and producers to fulfill strategic and creative objectives.
  • Be a strategic partner by actively participating in creative meetings to determine the objectives of assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure that our videos maintain our high-quality standards and align with our brand by honoring our brand guidelines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality while juggling multiple deadlines and prioritizing your own work.
  • Present work confidently to stakeholders and build trusting relationships.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be proficient with fundamentals of video production, lighting, shot composition and audio as well as some photography.
  • Video editing experience required.
  • Knowledge of video and DSLR camera required.
  • Knowledge of lighting and audio fundamentals required
  • Have a strong understanding of video and animation production workflows
  • Ability to produce a high volume of professional products under deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to plan, organize, and set priorities.
  • Self-starter with strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with people of all levels inside and outside Bloomberg Industry Group.
  • Must be comfortable with local travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Video, Film, Electronic Media, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience at an agency or in-house studio
  • Proficiency in Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Word.
