Job Summary

The Electronics Technician will provide technical expertise with assignments involving the evaluating, installing, maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, testing and training electronically controlled production equipment.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities of the Electronic Technician include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Functional experience with electrical schematics.
  • Experience in hydraulic equipment and understanding of hydraulic schematics.
  • Testing of newly installed or refurbished equipment to ensure compliance to specification and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment electronic problems.
  • Install and maintain software program modifications as needed.
  • Assemble and/or modify electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and electrical principles.
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered with both production and prototypes equipment or products.
  • Analyze and interpret test information to assist with design-related problems or line failures.
  • Build, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment according to specifications.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, conduit, equipment and fixtures such as transformers, panel sizing, wire sizes, conduit sizes, and feeder circuits for equipment in compliance with NEC codes.
  • Assist and maintenance staff to diagnose problems associated with electrical and mechanical failures on equipment

Hourly wage rate range up to $27.00, based upon qualifications.
