Pyrotechnique by Grucci – Operations/Warehouse Manager - Dublin, VA  


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

 
  1. Must possess Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration or equivalent three years’ experience in Warehouse Management or logistics management. 
  2. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  3. Must have experience working with inventory and asset management software (MRP/ERP), data analysis and forecasting techniques.  Must have the ability to implement new systems to maintain warehouse operations.
  4. Must have the ability to implement and maintain the asset management system through all PbG and FbG warehouse operations.
  5. Must have experience working in an ISO Certified or Compliant environment.
  6. Must be able to learn federal regulatory requirements including, but not limited to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE), Department of Transportation (DoT) and Department of Defense (DoD).
  7. Must have experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques, including 5S methodologies, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  8. Responsible for overall safety of the warehouse, working with Pyrotechnique by Grucci (PbG) Director of Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Compliance.
  9. Possess strong understanding of and the ability to work in Microsoft Office software programs with proficiency in the use of Excel and Word.
  10. Must be able to receive clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
  11. Must possess valid driver’s license.
  12. Possess initiative and the ability to perform in an environment driven by deadlines, in a quality manner while handling several other key responsibilities.
  13. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  14. Must possess strong leadership capabilities.
  15. Must have strong decision making and problem-solving skills, including math related functions.
  16. Must be able to work independently and in cross functional team environments.
  17. Must be able to adapt to high peak season needs and add efficiency to the processes,
  18. Be able to assign and oversee staff for high demand workloads for peak season blackout periods from May 01 through July 15 (4th of July peak) and November 01 to December 31 (New years peak)
  19. Be able to work all overtime as required.

JOB DUTIES:
 
  1. Responsible for the operational efficiencies of the warehouse.
  2. Responsible that all  personnel comply with safety and health regulations.
  3. Manage facility staff of Receiving and warehouse.
  4. Responible all training and certifications are kept up to date for warehouse personnel for Forklift equipment.
  5. Oversee operational activities of all levels of the warehouse and develop procedures needed for processes.
  6. Improve and implement new operational management systems, processes, procedures, and best practices.
  7. Implement, maintain, and have ownership to the usage and accuracy of the Asset Management tracking for all FbG equipment at all warehouse locations.
  8. Oversee the warehouse processes, remain compliant to customer and other regulatory requirements.
  9. Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
  10. Work with Director on KPIs as needed, forecasts, and adding efficiencies to the processes.
  11. Ensure effective training for Receiving and warehouse staff.
  12. Ensure OSHA records are maintained for all trained staffed and distributed to HR and Safety for personnel records.
  13. Implement Continuous Improvement Strategies throughout the warehouse.
  14. Ensuring a well-coordinated reception of all materials, equipment, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies.
  15. Ensue efficient distribution transfers between the Warehouse and production facility to ensure production material needs are met.
  16. Manage and take full ownership of the FbG asset management systems for all FbG facilities.
  17. Coordinate with PbG Logistics/Fireworks Operations Director for incoming and outgoing FbG equipment shipments and ensure deadlines are met. Manages the receipt of FbG outbound equipment packing list and assists warehouse personnel in preparing shipments and ensures allocation to the appropriate job for each packing list.
  18. Ensure the staffing needs are met per workload and requests assistance for extra coverage as needed from the Material Handler/Magazine Compliance Supervisor
  19. Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve warehouse control efficiencies through procedures and ensure all warehouse operations are being followed to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
  20. Must be committed to ISO and the company's Quality Management System using process approach and risk-based thinking methodologies and ensure department follows ISO requirements.
  21. Ensure the Quality Policy and quality objectives are communicated and upheld by all employees.
  22. Participate in Yearly Management Review of all ISO documentation as scheduled.
  23. Complete and administer scheduled Performance Reviews for assigned staff.
  24. Establish and maintain a positive human relations climate in the department utilizing good communication practices and expeditious handling of complaints and problems.

  26. Approve department's Weekly Time Sheets.  Review and approve all requests for Vacation / Personal days for assigned staff.  Review attendance and accrual information with assigned staff as needed.
  27. Ensure all necessary information is conveyed to Human Resource Department in a timely manner as it relates to the department.
  28. Participate in on-going training and education as required for the position.
  29. Participation with internal ISO audits encouraged.
  30. Abide by all company policies and procedures and comply with all governmental laws and regulations.
  31. Perform all other duties as required by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  1. Must be able to move throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
  2. Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. without assistance.
  3. Be able to move material with transportation equipment.
