Job Description
This role typically involves responsibilities related to designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs within an organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and maintain the company's salary structure, which includes determining pay grades, salary ranges, and job classifications. They ensure that the compensation structure aligns with industry standards and the organization's goals.
Manage annual compensation merit process and bonus calculation process.
In collaboration with external partner, play a key role in establishing a job architecture for the organization to establish a clear and consistent way to understand and describe jobs and their levels and to serve as a foundation for people programs and career maps.
Conduct job evaluations to determine the appropriate grade and associated pay ranges for jobs across the organization.
Analyze market compensation data to ensure the organization's pay rates are competitive within the industry and the region. This includes participating in salary surveys and benchmarking against peer companies.
Develop and maintain compensation policies and guidelines that ensure fairness and consistency in pay decisions. This includes addressing issues related to pay equity and diversity.
Collaborate with HR and management to create and update compensation plans, including annual salary increases, bonuses, and other pay programs.
Analyze data related to compensation to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Stay up to date with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation, such as minimum wage laws, overtime regulations, and equal pay laws.
Communicate compensation policies and changes to employees and managers, and addressing inquiries or concerns related to compensation.
Provide training, expert consultation, and guidance to HR staff, managers, and employees on compensation-related matters.
Collaborate with finance and management to budget for compensation expenses, including salary increases, bonuses, and other compensation-related costs.
Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to HR leadership and senior management on compensation matters, including strategies for attracting and retaining talent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Certification/Licensure/Registration: CCP a plus
Years of Relevant Experience: 8 years of experience in compensation with at least 5 years in the healthcare industry
Computer Skills (i.e. Software/Hardware): compensation data management tool like Payfactors, Marketpay etc.
Other Skills (i.e. Project Management, Negotiation): Project management, analytical, detail orientated
