Washington Trust Mortgage Company, a division of Washington Trust, the oldest community bank in America is seeking a Regional Manager for our Mortgage Loan Office located in Braintree, MA. This position is responsible for Sales Management with an existing and growing sales team and for Business Development in the area.

This position will work closely with the sales team to effectively motivate, mentor, and monitor their performance and oversee corporate profitability by promoting products and services in line with the Company's strategic sales plan.

The Regional Manager will also have a key role in business development and will be responsible for increasing our business presence in the area by

-recruiting and hiring experienced Originators

-working with our corporate marketing group to promote brand recognition and Company name, and

-participating in local community programs and activities.

The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices and guidelines and at least ten years' experience in loan origination. Experience in motivating and effectively coaching mortgage originators in an outside sales role is essential. Excellent customer service skills are required, as is the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as customers, employees, internal operations, centers of influence, and decision makers in the market.
