ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Develop and implement the company's credit policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers and make credit decisions.
  • Manage and lead the credit team to achieve company objectives.
  • Work closely with other departments to drive organizational change and improvement.
  • Monitor and manage customer credit limits and terms.
  • Manage relationships with external credit agencies.
  • Regularly review and update the company's credit policy.
  • Prepare credit reports and metrics for management.
  • Manage the use of American Institute of Architect (AIA) contracts and understand the construction industry, including paid-when-paid contracting models.
  • Act as a business partner on large contracts and manage automation and cost-to-serve for small customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline with MBA or other relevant professional certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role in the industrial sector
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of building and leading successful teams
  • High level of analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to drive change in an organization.
  • Experience with AIA contracts and understanding of the construction industry.
  • Experience in managing automation and cost-to-serve for small customers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will not supervise anyone directly. However, this role will eventually supervise a Credit Analyst
