SummaryResponsible for overseeing activities of the Summer Nutrition Program at an assigned site.
Target Hiring Range: Starts at $13.00 per hour
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccept delivery of meals and check temperature for compliance with all health and nutritional regulations.
Distribute and account for daily meal service to children up to 18 years of age.
Make recommendations for program improvement.
Prepare for meal service, including cleaning service area and setting up for specific feeding locations.
Complete daily meal count forms and maintain delivery receipts.
Assist in coordinating daily lunch schedules, ensure program compliance and meet health and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
No experience required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred QualificationsEducation & Experience:
6 months advanced training past the high school level
1 year related experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of nutrition food groups and child development
Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions
Ability to work with children, youth and volunteers providing direction and supervision
Valid Class C Texas driver's license preferred
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
The incumbent typically works in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme heat. Job requires some lifting and transferring of equipment. There will be some physical exertion such as bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
