How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Lab Technician performs analysis for specialty gasses and finished product testing; assists in scheduling all mixes to be analyzed, proper storage, labeling, and shipping.

This position works with the LaPorte Pure Gas Plant and team, which covers the filling of industrial-grade, research-grade, specialty mixes up to primary grade, medical devices, diving gasses, breathing air, and other blends. Our product travels throughout the Gulf Coast Region and the world.

JOB DUTIES

  • Perform routine production testing and quality control analysis of standard and specialty mixes.

  • Assist in scheduling, labeling, and filling specialty mixes for stock and distribution.

  • Document and maintain label control sheets and release labels in accordance with EPA regulations.

  • Monitor quality compliance with EPA regulations and production manual requirements.

  • Review production records and release products for distribution.

  • Prepares gas analysis reports for customer distribution using PC-based software.

  • Checks for cylinder quantities, styles, and products and/or assists with inventory

  • Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in laboratory analysis
